My Story

Hi, I’m Will, the voice behind Verdea Voices. I’ve always had a real love for audio and the way a good voice can bring something to life.

This all started at college, where I set up my own radio station and produced and hosted shows. I loved everything about it — being behind the microphone, putting shows together and learning what goes on behind the scenes to make good radio.After leaving college and working in hospitality, I eventually moved to New Zealand for 6 years, where I joined the promotional team at The Edge radio station. While I wasn’t presenting on air, I had the opportunity to shadow shows and spend time seeing how professional radio was produced. It was a great experience and gave me an even deeper understanding of broadcasting and audio production.I later went on to create and host my own podcast, which regularly attracted more than 20,000 listens a week. It was a brilliant learning experience and taught me a lot about connecting with an audience and, perhaps most importantly, how to sound natural behind a microphone.Since then, I’ve worked on a wide range of professional voiceover projects for some well-known brands, as well as countless smaller projects. I also have extensive experience in audio editing and production, so I understand the process from recording the first word right through to delivering the finished piece.For me, voiceover has never been about simply reading a script. It’s about finding the right tone, pace and personality to make the words feel natural — and making sure the finished recording sounds like it belongs.That’s what Verdea Voices is all about: natural, authentic voiceover, delivered with care.
